We offer professional grooming for all breeds. The entire process is done in the grooming room where we can watch your dog at all times. We use Best Shot products which leave your dog’s coat soft and shiny. Many of the dogs take a nap while they are drying. We offer nail clipping and/or Dremmeling for dogs as part of a complete grooming package, and also as a stand-alone service for walk-ins.

If you would like to have your dog groomed before he checks out, please make the appointment when you book the boarding reservation.

We offer comb outs for cooperative kitties. We do not clip kitties.

Enjoying Your Dog on MDI

You can enjoy the companionship of your dog on all hiking trails in Acadia except the ladder trails. All carriage trails are dog friendly. You are required to keep your dog on a leash of 6 feet or less in length while in Acadia. Dogs are not welcome on Sand Beach or Echo Lake Beach.

Your dog may join you on the lawn at Jordan Pond House for tea and popovers. You can let your dog stretch his legs off leash and go for a swim at Little Long Pond in Seal Harbor. Please be aware that this is private property and using it is a privilege.

Many stores in the area are dog friendly. Just be mindful of any marking behavior. Always make sure your dog's droppings are removed from the public way.
