Ruffed
Grouse, Partridge and Woodcock hunting in Maine requires the
right mix of skill, experience and patience. The hardwood ridges
and abundant spruce and fir forests adjacent to Great Pond
Wilderness Lodge and Cabins support strong populations of both
of these upland game birds. Hunters are welcome to bring their
dogs to track these elusive species. Guides available (advance
