Great Pond Wilderness Lodge offers a wide variety of choices for the veteran and beginning angler. Here on Great Pond in Hancock County smallmouth bass fishing is an exciting and perennial favorite. The numerous, swift flowing streams in the region provide first class brook trout fishing. Local lakes, including Alligator, Nicatous, and the Machias chain offer excellent landlocked salmon, togue, and trout fishing. Bass fishing on the Penobscot River has also been very popular with Great Pond Wilderness Lodge guests for very many years.
