Jim Bridge
SouthernJim joined MESARD in 2007 as a Flanker providing navigation,
communication and first aid support. He is a certified wilderness ground
searcher with previous experience in search and rescue in Alaska and
maintains certification as a Wilderness First Responder (WFR). |

Certifications: Jodie is certified in wilderness
airscent.
John has been active in SAR since 2004 and a member
of MESARD since 2005. The team is currently on leave, we hope to see
them back soon. |

Roger David
SouthernRoger was Certified as a Flanker and voted in as a MESARD
member in August, 2010. He provides navigation to the dog handler,
communication to the search command, and any necessary wilderness first
aid. Roger is a Certified Wilderness First Responder, a Registered Maine
Guide, a Deputy Chief and Training Officer for the Lincoln County Search
and Rescue Response Team and a MASAR Certified Ground Searcher. |

Jennifer Fisk

Certifications: Fran is certified in wilderness airscent.
Jennifer is a current member, and one of the
founding members, of both Mount Desert Island Search and Rescue and
MESARD. Fran is her 5th SAR dog. |

Certifications: Nya is certified in cadaver detection and water
search. She has also completed the International Police Work Dog
Basic Cadaver Certification. |
Michele has been a member of MESARD since 1992. Alli and Nya are her 3rd and 4th SAR dogs. |

Certifications: Moxie (mostly liver) is certified in wilderness airscent,
tracking, article search, water search and cadaver detection.
Spencer has been active in SAR since 1994 as a member of Lincoln Search
and Rescue’s High Angle and Swift Water Rescue Team, He maintains his
Wilderness First Responder certification. Spencer has been a member of
MESARD since 1997.
Moxie is his 2nd SAR dog. |

Certifications: Alex is certified in tracking/trailing, wilderness
airscent, article search, water search and cadaver detection.
Deb was the Training
Coordinator for the Maine Warden Service K9 Team and is one of the
founding members of MESARD. She has served as Training Director for
MESARD for over 24 years. Alex is her 4th certified SAR dog, certified
in air scent, article and cadaver search and tracking. She recently
certified a young female GSD, Quinni, for tracking and trailing and
cadaver detection. In 2008 she retired from the Maine Warden Service
after 30 years of service as a Maine Game Warden and is now offering dog
training services under the business name of Maine K-9 Services. |

Aggie is working towards her certification in wilderness
airscent.
Dan is a Master Maine Guide. He is also an animal control officer and
a member of his community's fire department. Dan has been involved in
search and rescue for over fifteen years, ten with MESARD. Dan returned
to MESARD as a member in February 2007. Aggie is his second search dog. |

Kelly works for the National Park Service and has been a SAR dog handler
since 1985. Tycho is her fourth SAR dog. |

Beth Swartz

Certifications: Angel will be working towards her wilderness air scent
certification.
Beth has been a member of MESARD since 1987 and has trained and
certified two Rottweilers for wilderness air scent, water search,
evidence and cadaver detection. She has a new puppy, "Angel", who has
started her training for wilderness air scent. |
